General Information
1. Open to KS 4-H & FFA
club members. Exhibitors may not have reached their 19th
birthday by Jan. 1st, 2008.
2. Barns will open at 7 a.m. on May 10 th . Check-in
will begin at 7 a.m. Show will begin at 10:00 a.m. Those
wishing to come in on Friday must contact one of the
superintendents 24 hours prior to arrival.
3. KCCA rules apply.
4. A minimum of 3 animals per breed is required for
breed class; otherwise they will be entered into the AOB
class.
5. Breeding heifers will be divided by breed with 3 or
more in a class. Any age division will be done at the
discretion of the superintendent. Registration papers
and tattoo are required on all non-commercial breeding
heifers.
6. All animals without registration papers on day of
show, will be placed in crossbred class.
7. You must own & show your own animal. In the event
that the owner has been injured prior to the show (i.e.
broken leg or ankle) another 4-H’er or FFA member may
show the animal.
8. Generators are encouraged. Power is in short supply.
9. No bedding of any kind is permitted in cattle, sheep
or hog barns. Bedding used outside must be cleaned
up or a fee will be charged. Please clean your area
before you leave.
10. No protests allowed. Judges’ decisions are final.
11. Exhibitors are responsible for their animals and
tack.
12. Exhibitors will be asked to sign “Thank You’s”.
13. Animals with obvious health problems will be
dismissed.
14. Breed requirements will be followed and papers will
be checked.
15. Harper County Show Officials & Livestock Committee,
reserve the right to remove from the grounds any
exhibitor, animal or person that may be deemed
objectionable. Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed
on
the fair grounds at any time.
16. All cattle must be manageable, or will asked to
leave, this means you must be able to control & lead
them in
a acceptable fashion.
17. Bucket calves show free.
18. A concession stand will be available. |
